Evocathon | Fintech Hackathon

With this motto, Evocabank and ISTC Foundation join forces to launch Evocathon – Fintech Hackathon on Dec 14-15, 2019. This hackathon is an effective way to develop new approaches for delivering financial services with extensive application of the latest technology in the fast, simple and convenient way, as well as attract talents to unleash their creativity and collaboratively develop applications, visualizations, or information graphics within 24 hours.

Evocabank provides innovative services and stands out by the active use of the latest information technologies. With the main focus on developing mobile services. Evocabank works in the mobile-first format, taking into account the convenience of using it via app first when designing a new service. Evocabank is continuously improving its services and this Hackathon is one important step towards the set goals in the sphere of banking.

The Goal of the Hackathon is that the participants are going to develop a working prototype of a product by Sunday morning and pitch them in front of the jury.

Then you definatly need to be a part of the Hackathon and submit your application by Dec 10

The Challenges of the Evocathon were created based on pre-set directions and include the following:

 

Biometric identification system (identification of documents and face)
Task: Create a biometric identification system to access banking services and products through the app, which will enable the user to identify face and identity documents (passport and ID).

 

 


  EPAY system
Task: Easy integration of vPOS terminals with the widget (embed code, iframe). Based on the descriptions of the ARCA system, create an e-commerce payment solution that can be easily integrated (plugin, iframe code, etc …).

 

 


Payment keyboard
Task: Create a payment keyboard, which by installing on the smartphone, the user will be able to activate the keyboard in any messenger, see certain functions of his account – send money, receive money, see the balance and will receive text notification via Facebook or SMS

 

 


Currency exchange system
Task: A currency exchange program for Windows that will work with the terminals. The customer will receive his desired currency by entering the money in the terminal (AMD, USD, EUR, RUB).

 

 


Contactless payment
Task: Smartphone contactless payment solution with POS terminals. Local product replacing APPLE PAY, SAMSUNG PAY, GOOGLE PAY systems.

Registration Deadline is  Dec 10, 2019

  • You may register as a team (2 – 5 people) or as an individual. If you register as an individual, you will be randomly assigned into a team.
  • University students of Computer Programming, Networking Engineering, Software Engineering, Web Development, Data Science majors, working professionals from mentioned industries,  entrepreneurs and startups with the solutions to the Evocathon challenges.
  • Whether you come with a fully developed concept or a brief idea, our Mentors and team will help you to frame your idea into a product during the competition.
  • If you are an individual, we will assign you randomly into a team or you may form your team during the registration period on the first day of the competition.
  • DEMO YOUR HACKThree minutes presentation + Demo and two minutes Q&A from judges.

The participants will receive Evocabank and ISTC support while working with the above-mentioned challenges, moreover
• The diverse groups of mentors will be there to support you along the way and work with the teams throughout the whole weekend. They are coming from different background and have experience of working in the best companies.
• During the first day of the Hackathon, besides the intensive innovating and hacking, we will have theme workshops and interesting keynotes (leading specialists in the field).
